Holistic Approach

Everyone knows how important it is to get the right nutrients into your body in order to stay healthy, but did you know that there are also certain minerals that can help protect your teeth? The most well known is fluoride, but there are also other beneficial minerals – calcium and phosphate.

Saliva helps provide essential minerals that strengthen your teeth and protect the enamel.

How ever, there are various activities that can create an acid imbalance that makes it difficult to produce saliva and protective minerals. When it comes to maintaining a healthy smile, calcium and phosphate are key ingredients that can make a big difference in overall oral health.

MI Paste contains RECALDENT™ , a special milk-derived protein that releases calcium and phosphate to the surface of the teeth.

At Galloro Dental Group, we offer MI Paste to our patients with and without fluoride.

If required, we are fully equipped to remove your amalgam (silver) fillings which contains mercury.

We recommend replacing your amalgam filling only if there are secondary caries (decay) or evidence of failure of the restorative material. In these instances, you should not delay in replacing your am algam filling.

At Galloro Dental Group, we will safely remove the amalgam filling and replace it with biocompatible dental composite material that your body will love.

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is an antibacterial liquid used to treat tooth sensitivity and help stop tooth decay from forming, growing, or spreading to other teeth.

SDF contains silver that helps kill bacteria and fluoride which is used to remineralize your teeth (rebuild the materials they’re made of).

This is especially useful for children and the elderly due to its non-invasive nature. The solution is simply applied to the cavity or sensitivity.

In some instances, bleaching (whitening) alone will not produce an effective result in m ost cases of tooth discolouration, and an invasive treatment method like veneers would involve sacrificing a healthy tooth substance, which may not be required.

We offer a minimally invasive treatment option to remove white spots (also know n as fluorosis) called Icon.

Icon is a non-invasive procedure that can be repeated, as needed, to maintain optimal aesthetics and enamel protection.
